"The Stalut" is a comfortable two floors apartment. It's a previous old stable near a still working water mill. Imponzo is situated 5 km far from Tolmezzo direction Arta Terme (Monte Croce Carnico Pass). The accomodation is in Via Albino Candoni 5, in the centre of the village. Behind the old stone facade, the building holds a living room with a small kitchen and a double day bed. On the first floor, there's a double bedroom with bathroom. The village of Imponzo is an ancient settlement dating back at least to the time when the Roman Legions were heading from Aquileia to the Norian. Not far, the present village of Zuglio (3km), can be traced to the ancient resting place "Julium Carnicum", which exhibits interesting archaeological remains (The Forum, The Baths and The Basilica) and the valuable collections kept in his interesting museum. The village is 400 meters above sea level. A dense forest nearby offers to tourists shady paths including the one leading to the Gothic Church of St. Florian (XIII century) and to the Plain of Mignech, with his famous mineral water springs (Celandin). You can reach it through a track running along a cattle farm famous for its dairy and delicatessen products.

The accomodation is at about 3 km from the Sulfur Baths in Piano d'Arta, well known since of the Ancient Romans domination. From here you can easily reach The ski resort of the Mount Zoncolan in about half an hour or the Austrian District of Nassfeld (Pra Mollo) and a lot of border trails in neighboring Carinthia. From here you can also easily reach the “Val Pesarina” and Sauris .
